Gluten Free Chocolate Buttercream

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of softened butter

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream

  • 1 cup of cut of chocolate

  • 4 cups of powdered sugar

  • 3/4 cup of cocoa powder

Directions

  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together 3 cups of softened butter and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract on high of 3-5 minutes.

  2. Heat the 1/2 cup of heavy cream until it comes to a low simmer, do not bring to a boil.

  3. Dump the 1 cup of cut of chocolate into the hot heavy cream and let it sit on the counter for 5 minutes.

  4. Add 4 cups of sifted powdered sugar to the mixing bowl, along with 3/4 cup of sifted cocoa powder, mix on low.

  5. Pour the chocolate and heavy cream mixture to the bowl and beat until you get the consistency you're looking for.
