Herb-Roasted Turkey with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 (12–14 lb) turkey, thawed and giblets removed

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 lemon, halved

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).

  • In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.

  • Loosen the turkey skin and spread half the butter underneath. Rub the rest on top.

  • Place lemon halves inside the cavity.

  • Roast for 3–3.5 hours, basting every 45 minutes.

  • Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
