Herb-Roasted Turkey with Garlic Butter
Ingredients
1 (12–14 lb) turkey, thawed and giblets removed
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 lemon, halved
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
Loosen the turkey skin and spread half the butter underneath. Rub the rest on top.
Place lemon halves inside the cavity.
Roast for 3–3.5 hours, basting every 45 minutes.
Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
